PURPOSE:To easily overhaul and repair a tuyere part, by adopting a box-type brick work for brick work in the circumference of tuyere brick of a converter having a bottom blowing tuyere, and adopting a through joint for a boundary joint against the furnace bottom brick. CONSTITUTION:In a converter having a bottom blowing tuyere, a box-type brick work 10 is adopted for brick work in the circumference of tuyere brick 9, and a through joint is adopted for a boundary joint 11 between the box-type brick work 10 and its circumferential furnace bottom brick work 6. In case when the tuyere brick 9 and its peripheral box-type brick 10 have been melt-lost due to oxygen blow-refining from the furnace bottom tuyere, the box-type brick 10 containing the tuyere brick 9 can be removed easily from the circumferential furnace bottom brick work 6, by the through joint. The furnace bottom tuyere part can be repaired in a short time by installing the box-type brick 10 containing the tuyere brick 9, and the operation rate of a converter is elevated. |
