PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a synthesizer by synthesizing a signal by real-time processing by providing an X and an Y coordinate input equipment and an X and an Y coordinate detecting circuit, and processing two kinds of picture signals through hardware arithmetic. CONSTITUTION:To the sequence controller 23 of a picture synthesizer which synthesizes the 1st picture signal obtained by electrically reading the light and shade level of a picture by scanning with the 2nd picture signal, an XY coordinate input equipment 145, a digitizer 150, and a CRT display 154 are connected. This equipment 145 is provided with function keys 148 for specifying the X and Y axes of a picture area, ten-key switches 146 for specifying coordinate values, and execution keys 147 for formally registering coordinate values registered temporarily on a display means. when the 1st picture signal is generated, a picture area specified with the switches 146 is detected by the XY coordinate detecting circuit; and the 1st picture signal is selected in some area other than the specific area and the 2nd picture signal is selected in the specific area, thereby synthesizing the 1st and 2nd picture signals. |
