<p>Small mechanical carding machine is provided for a circular knitting machine producing bulky knitwear, such as fur and carpet. It comprises two horizontal cylinders, with rows of metallic points standing out from them. The points are the peripheral edges of fine toothed metallic plates (7) embedded in a non-deformable cladding. The cladding surrounding the plates is rigid, and their tooth-points have a long life, and do not deform during work. The distance between the toothed discs may bary according to requirements. The teeth do not spoil the cladding of the neighbouring cylinder, whether they turn at the same speed, or not.</p> |
