PURPOSE:To synthesize signals by real-time processing by processing two kinds of picture signals through hardware arithmetic by providing a digitizer for specifying a prescribed picture area, and an XY coordinate detecting circuit for detecting the picture area specified by the digitizer. CONSTITUTION:To the sequence controller of a picture synthesizer which synthesizes the 1st and 2nd picture signals, a digitizer 150 for specifying a picture area is connected, and an XY coordinate detecting circuit which detect the picture area specified by the digitizer 150 when the 1st picture signal is generated is provided. This digitizer 150 is provided with a menue area 151 for inputting numerals and commands, and the controller 23 is provided with a control circuit which while writing necessary data in an XY coordinate storage memory from coordinate data inputted from a coordinate specifying area 152, displays it on a CRT display 154. Then, the 1st picture signal is selected in some area other than the specified picture area, and the 2nd picture signal is selected in the specified picture area, thereby synthesizing the picture signals. |
