<p>PURPOSE:To demodulate the accurate bar code information, by calculating the width of a character bar based on the calculated value of the standarized width of a guard bar and a center bar respectively. CONSTITUTION:A signal waveform corresponding to a bar code of a label and fed from a readout part R is supplied to a counter part K. Thus a rise counter K1 performs the counting for a period from the rise of the input signal waveform to the rise of the next input signal. At the same time, a fall counter K2 performs the counting for a period from the fall of the next input signal waveform to the fall of the next input signal. The value of the bar code length counted at the part K receives the control of a control part C to be supplied to a memory M. The length measuring data is supplied to a demodulating part F by the control of the part C. At the part F, an accurate width is calculated for the bar code based on the supplied length measuring data.</p> |
