PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of supercooling of an inorganic or organic salt filled in a container shaped in a desired form effectively by applying a predetermined level of voltage across a pair of electrodes provided in the container. CONSTITUTION:Water in a water tank 6, heated in the daytime by the solar heat, is carried via a pipe into a heat accumulating apparatus of this invention, and heat is accumulated in a heat accumulating medium of an inorganic or organic salt filled in the heat accumulating apparatus 1 through melting of the medium by a heat exchanger 5. Water having exchanged heat is carried back to the water tank 6 and heated again the tank 6, whereafter it is carried again into the heat accumulating apparatus 1. On the other hand, when a cock is switched in the night for passing water to a radiator 7, the heat accumulating medium in the apparatus 1 begins to radiate heat and circulating water is heated by the heat exchanger 5. Water thus heated is delivered to the radiator 7 that is used for space heating. Here, if a voltage is impressed across electrodes 2, 2 by closing a switch 4 when supercooling of the heat accumulating medium is caused along with radiation of heat but latent heat of condensation is not yet produced, condensation of the medium is started several seconds later with breaking of supercooling, and latent heat of condensation is produced, so that circulating water can be heated continuously. |
