PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal panel for preventing a laser beam from being leaked, when disconnecting a protection circuit short-circuited by static electricity when manufactured, in laser repair, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal panel 10A is provided with a light shielding film (semiconductor film 30<SB>2</SB>, source wiring material layer 31 or the like) on connection wires 19<SB>1</SB>and 19<SB>2</SB>for connecting an electrostatic protection element to a common wire, in the liquid crystal panel having a thin film transistor serving as a switching element, and provided with the electrostatic protection element for connecting a short-circuiting wire arranged near a display area to the common wire.
