PURPOSE:To suppress swelling of a cell by using acetylene black as a main conductive assistant agent for an anode made of iron sulfide and cupric sulfide as an anode active material and increasing the void content of the anode so that volume increases due to discharges are absorbed by void sections. CONSTITUTION:Acetylene black as a main conductive assistant agent and a binding agent such as polytetrafluoroethylene are added to a mixture of iron sulfide and cupric sulfide acting as an anode active material and they are mixed into an anode compound, which is molded under a pressure of 0.1-1.0t/cm<2> and is formed into an anode 2 with the void content of 45-55% by volume. One or more of, e.g., ferrous sulfide, ferric sulfide, iron disulfide, etc. are, independently or by mixture, used as iron sulfide for the anode active material. A cathode 5 made of a lithium plate is arranged on said anode 2 using a separator 4 as an intermediary to make up a cell. |
