PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for discharging a product by cutting a joint by which the product is connected with a work after forming. SOLUTION: In the method, the product WS is discharged after formed in a state that the work W and the product WS are connected together at a plurality of points with the joints 35. When the work W and the product WS are in such a state as to be connected together with the joints of the forming position 11 side and the joints 35 of the work transfer positioning device 13 side for the forming position 11 in a punching press, the joints of the forming position 11 side are positioned on the forming position 11, and the work W is cut off by a cutting die 63 but still kept pressed with the cutting die 63, and then the product WS is discharged by cutting the joints 35 of the work transfer positioning device 13 side with a cutting device 29 arranged on a product discharge device 1.
