EXTRACTING DEVICE OF STROKE INFORMATION

PURPOSE:To accelerate the extracting speed and to simplify the logic of decision, by extracting the correspondent candidate point in a distance between a simple writing point and a feature point and the extracting the stroke information closest to the stroke form of a standard pattern among the candidate points. CONSTITUTION:A segment matching device 23 obtains the degree of resemblance between the standard segment vector obtained by a standard segment vector extracting device 21 and the corresponding candidate point pair vector obtained by a coupling property inspecting device 22. This degree of resemblance is obtained in terms of L<2> units of corresponding candidate points, and the pair corresponding candidate points having the highest degree of resemblance are defined as a paired corresponding points to be transferred to an inter-segment coupling property inspecting device 24. A stroke coupling device 25 extracts the feature point on the shortest route connected between the corresponding points which are decided by a front stage device 24. The stroke information is obtained from a series comprising the paired corresponding points and the corresponding extracted feature point.
