PURPOSE:To correct the current and voltage waveforms applied to a trigger electrode and prevent mulfunctions by arranging a metal member branched off from an electrode and the trigger electrode properly. CONSTITUTION:A metal member 8 which is branched off from an electrode 7b and extends so as to approach the interior of a sealed bulb 6 is provided. A trigger electrode 4 is arranged outside the sealed bulb section surrounding the metal member 8. The minimum distance d between the metal member 8 and the interior of the sealed bulb section is set at 1.5mm. or less. By setting the minimum distance d at 1.5mm. or less, the flash lamp luminesces at 4kV or lower, resulting in no rapid change in current waveforms or no malfunction. |
