PURPOSE:To improve to a large extent the combustion characteristics of a double-cylinder type burner by providing part of the outer cylinder with air ports to rarefy combustion gas for recirculation. CONSTITUTION:One or more air ports 9 are provided around the base of the outer cylinder 7 and that of the combustion cylinder 8. With the blast fan motor 12 and the blast fan 13 starting revolution to cause ignition and combustion near the evaporation elements 5, part of the hot blast air with which the combustion exhaust gas is thinly mixed is recirculated as combustion air from the air ports 9 of the combustion cylinder 8 and outer cylinder 7. With this, the combustion and combustion reaction processes are accelerated at once through (i) preheating of combustion air, (ii) recombustion of fuel remaining unburnt, etc., and (iii) increase in evaporation capacity of the evaporation element 5. Moreover, the air oversupply rate is controlled within specified limits so that stable and excellent combustion characteristics may be obtained over a wide combustion adjust range. |
