An electro-chemical microorganism detector and the method thereof is provided to supply quick and reliable data using technique applying property of microorganism. An electro-chemical microorganism detector comprises and an electrode portion(10), a voltage applying part(20), a current detecting part(25), and a processing part(30). The electrode part consists of a driving electrode(11), a counter electrode(12), and a reference electrode(13). The voltage applying part continuously applies the plus polarity voltage of the measurement object solution. The current detecting part detects current according to the voltage applied. The operation part calculates the concentration of microorganism from the detected current.
