PURPOSE:In a check valve employed in an atomic furnace equipped with a dash pot, to enable the checking of the function of the dash pot by applying the force on the dash pot when the valve body is open thereby detecting the function. CONSTITUTION:The valve body 2 is opened due to the flow of the fluid in the arrow direction B, but in case of an atomic furnace if the fluid will flow reversely while the circulation pump is stopped the valve body 2 will close. But at this tim the dash pot 4 will perform the closing function of the valve body 2 slowly. A dash pot function inspector 11 incorporating a rod 8 and a metal rod 9 is provided in the dash pot 4. If the dash pot 4 is functioning erroneously, the head section 5 will not move well thereby the reaction will be applied on the metal rod 9 to produce the distortion in the housing 10 which is detected by a strain meter 16. |
