<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The device (1) has an injector support (3) e.g. lever, on which an injector (2) is fixed, where the injector support is movable with respect to a fixed frame (4). The injector is arranged in a manner to generate a mechanical constraint (F) for displacement of the support with respect to the frame when pressurized fluid is injected by the injector. A force measurement unit (5) e.g. deformation sensor, is arranged to evaluate the mechanical constraint. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Device for measuring operational characteristic of an injector e.g. fuel injector, of a heat engine. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The configuration of the device reduces risk that the force measurement unit is not prematurely deteriorated. The measurement unit measures the mechanical constraint for displacement of the support with respect to the frame and indirectly evaluates the impact force of the injected fluid of the jet without having to place the measurement unit opposite to the jet, so that the device characterizes the injector and measures the constraints generated by utilization of the injector while preserving the measurement unit, which can be placed at the gap of the fluid jet. The device allows the fluid jet from not being disturbed by the presence of the measurement unit, so that the measurement of characterization of the injector is not intrusive. The sensor is not immersed in the jet, and the measurement unit is significant and fragile to allow improvement of the measuring accuracy of the device. The device avoids the need to characterize the injector to take into account the time shift between the injection moment and the force measurement moment. The measurement units measure the constraints of the posterior impact at the time of the injection. The configuration of the device reduces the braking torque generated by the assembling units to improve the measuring precision of the characteristics of the injector. The force measurement unit is placed outside the enclosure to prevent the presence of measurement unit in hot and chemically aggressive environment of the enclosure that contains the injector and the injected fluid.
