PURPOSE:To damp the radial vibration energy of a rotor, by securing annular tubes filled with a viscous fluid, on the rotor concentrically thereto. CONSTITUTION:Annular tubes 12 are secured on a rotor 1 concentrically thereto. A viscous fluid 13 such as oil is sealed up in the tubes 12. When the rotor 1 moves in the radial direction, the viscous fluid 13 in the tubes 12 also moves in the radial direction so that a braking force proportional to the speed of the radial motion of te rotor is applied thereto through the tubes 12 because of the friction of the particles of the viscous fluid. |
