PURPOSE:To elevate reliability of a titled device, by constituting so that a light emitting device and 2 optical fibers are placed in the upper and lower directions of a carrying guide of copying paper by setting one end part of the copying paper to a reference position, and its one end part of the copying paper has been pinched, and operating a matching mechanism in accordance with the extent of shift from the reference position of the copying paper. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber 17 consists of 2 optical fibers 17a, 17b, an intermediate position of a distance (d) between opening end parts of said 2 optical fibers 17a, 17b in an optical fiber holding device 16 is set as a reference position, and when copying paper 25 is carried normally as shown by a full line, a light beam from a light emitting device 15 is made incident to a photodetector 18b from the optical fiber 17b, is not made incident to a photodetector 18a, and paper feed rollers 14a, 14b are rotated at an equal speed. When the copying paper 25 has generated skew, its one part comes to a position (a), therefore, no light beam is made incident to both the optical fibers 17a, 17b a change gear ratio of a speed change mechanism is varied in accordance with said reslt, the paper feed roller 14b is driven and rotated at a higher speed than 14a, and a carrying state of the copying paper 25 is returned to its normal state. |
