PURPOSE:To produce air flow which is different in thickness of a boundary layer or a fluctuating component of air velocity, by vertically moving a barrier object which is inserted into an air path through perforations formed in the floor surface of the air path and disturbs air in wind tunnel. CONSTITUTION:Perforations 5 formed in a slit are open in a direction being perpendicular to an air path on a floor surface of wind tunnel 1, and a laminar rough surface 6 is inserted. The lower end of the rough surface 6 is secured to a forward end of an air cylinder 7. The air cylinder is airtightly supported by means of a shielding plate 8, and is fastened to the outside of the floor surface so that it surrounds all the perforations 5. When air is fed to the air cylinder 7, a piston rod 7 is raised, the rough surface 6 is also raised, and this causes fluctuation of the height which checks air in the wind tunnel 1. |
