PRESS FABRICS RESISTANT TO WAD BURNING The disclosure is of a composite papermakers felt made up of a base layer of a textile and a surface layer of high-temperature resistant fibers coated on the surface exposed portions with a high-temperature resistant, water-insoluble, synthetic, polymeric resin. The felt is useful in the wet press section of a papermaking machine. The disclosure is also of a method of manufacturing the felt of the invention.
