PURPOSE:To prepare hydrogen gas by fermenting wastes from eating habits, wastes from agriculture, forestry and stock raising, etc. as a raw material and use the fermentation residue as a fertilizer, by fermenting the wastes, etc. in the presence of a horse dung as a seed microorganism source. CONSTITUTION:At least one of a waste from eating habits, stock raising, and agricultural and forestry is added to water and used as a fermentation raw material in a concentration of about 5-60wt%. A horse dung as a seed microorganism source is added to the raw material at a pH of about 6-7.5 and a temperature of about 10-65 deg.C, and fermented under anaerobic conditions. The dry weight ratio of the horse dung to the raw material is 5% or more. An additive, e.g. glucose, sorbitol, glutamic acid, urea, lactic acid, etc. may be added to the fermentation raw material to exhibit the enhancing effect on the fermentation and increase the amount of the formed hydrogen. |
