PURPOSE:To obtain the titled decorative board rich in the feel of the blank material by the method wherein a specified foamable resin composition containing a pulverulent material or the like is coated on the surface of a blank sheet, then the composition is heated to foam the composition and expose the pulverulent material or the like at the surface of a resin layer. CONSTITUTION:Foamable resin composition is prepared by mixing a resin composition containing a heat foaming agent (A) with a powder (B), a pulverulent material, a flaky material, a lumpy material or the like of a thermoplastic resin which has a specific gravity smaller than that of the component A, a melting point lower than that of the component A and a color different from that of the component A. The foamable resin composition is coated on the surface of the base material such as a backing paper for a wall paper or the like. Next, the coated material is heated to a temperature higher than the foaming temperature of the foamable resin composition to foam the composition and expose the powder, pulverulent material, flaky material, lumpy material or the like at the surface of the foamed resin layer, thereby obtaining the objective decorative board. |
