PURPOSE:To obtain a foamed synthetic resin molded article with sufficient foaming and fusion bonding while shortening a molding cycle by a method wherein prefoamed raw material beads are supplied into a mold, and after purging air in the mold by a sucking operation and a steam flushing operation, a steam for secondary foaming is supplied into the mold. CONSTITUTION:The prefoamed raw material beads are charged into the interior of a pair of molds 1, 1' by a supplying device 6, and air in the interior of the mold is purged by both the operation in which the air is evacuated through small vent holes 5, 5' of the molds 1, 1' and a pipe 15 connected to a vacuum device and the operation in which the gas in the mold is replaced by the steam supplied from a steam supply pipe 12. Then, the beads in the mold are foamed and fusion bonded by supplying steam into the mold through the steam supply pipe 12, followed by cooling the foamed synthetic resin molded article thus obtained. |
