A flexible printed circuit board punching method for a backlight unit and a flexible printed circuit board kit by the same are provided to reduce a process time by separating release paper from the FPCB kit once. A plurality of FPCBs(10) are arranged in a FPCB kit(20) with a regular interval. The release paper(22) is adhered to one side of the FPCB kit. A neck part of a substrate joint(14) of the FPCB is punched by a first punching process. A mounting unit(12) of an LED of a FPCB and a neck part of the substrate joint are punched by a second punching process. A cut line(38) is formed in an outer circumference of the FPCB by a half-punching process. The FPCB is separated from the FPCB kit by the cut line. The adhesive remains the one side of the FPCB. The FPCB is adhered to the backlight unit by the adhesive.
