<p>A portable terminal device and an application execution control method capable of executing applications simultaneously while maintaining user-friendliness. In a portable terminal device (100) capable of executing applications simultaneously, an application executing unit (120) executes the applications in their setting modes, and an application managing unit (110) sets the setting mode of a first application out of the first application (image display application, for example) and a second application (communication application, for example) which are executed simultaneously by the application executing unit (120) to a low processing load mode. Since the mode of one application is set to the low processing load mode without the execution of the one application being stopped, the applications can be executed simultaneously while the user-friendliness is maintained.</p> |
