The invention relates to a putrefaction lavatory comprising an inlet part 2, which is intended for installation in a house and essentially consists of a closed container fitted with a lavatory seat. This container is to take human excrement and other biodegradable wastes. There is also a separate secondary putrefaction chamber 4, which has the same design as the closed container and is connected to the inlet part 2. This secondary putrefaction chamber 4 is positioned outdoors and has a larger volume than the container of the inlet part, and this volume can be chosen to match the requirements.
