PURPOSE:To contrive to facilitate the machining of through grooves and consequently to improve the dimensional accuracy by a method wherein a number of holes are bored on one block body and the through grooves are cut on the other block body and both the block bodies are welded together with each other and, after that, honey-comb molding grooves are machined. CONSTITUTION:In the first process, the metal block bodies 4a' and 4b are made of alloy tool steel. In the second process, the holes 6 are bored in the block body 4a' by piercing drill toward the direction from a surface 40a' to a surface 41a'. In the third process, the through grooves 5 are cut on one flat surface 41b of the other block body 4b to the predetermined depth in the honey-comb like form. In the fourth process, the die main body 4a is diffusion-bonded to the through groove 5 side of the block body 4b by pressing with each other. In the fifth process, the flat surface 42b of the block body 4b is ground and, after that, molding grooves 1 are formed at the positions overlapping with the grooves 5 by grinding with a thin grind stone. |
