PURPOSE:To obtain a performance characteristic equal to a variable pitch control by arranging a flow control body variable only in an axial direction between an inlet width of vanes inside a centrifugal fan at the fluid passage of a centrifugal blower so as to adjust the capability of the centrifugal fan itself. CONSTITUTION:Under a state that a centrifugal fan 6 is rotating and the air is being exhausted through an exhaust port (not shown in the figure), when a flow control body 12 is moved in an axisl direction between an inlet width 1 of the centrifugal fan 6, the suction amount at an inlet section of the centrifugal fan 6 can be adjusted and the capability of the centrifugal fan 6 can also be adjusted, therefore the air exhaust amount from the centrifugal blower can be freely adjused. By using a construction so that the suction amount at the inlet section of the centrifugal fan 6 is thus adjusted and the capability of the centrifugal fan 6 itself is made variable, a performance characteristic similar to a variable pitch control which has been used only for an axial-flow blower is available in performing a flow control of the centrifugal blower. |
