PURPOSE:To improve drivability of an engine, by obtaining the above described device in which the engine can be prevented from largely decreasing its speed even at rapid release of an accelerator pedal and promptly converged to a target idle speed. CONSTITUTION:Each output of each sensor 132, 56, 136, 140, 142, 24 and 146 of battery voltage, cooling water temperature, atmospheric temperature, throttle angle, O2 concentration, air flow amount and crank angle is fetched to a RAM106 through an input/output circuit 108. When a throttle valve is detected the resetting to its idle opening in a CPU102, feedback control for idle speed control is immediately started. Further engine speed is detected its decrease to the prescribed speed in the vicinity of the idle speed, a control means (bypass valve) 61, setting an idle speed control actuator to a control state corresponding to the prescribed idle speed, is temporarily operated. |
