PURPOSE:To increase rigidity of an opening and to lengthen a printer arm life, by a method wherein, in a printer arm provided with a wire, crossing an arm approximately at right angles, at one end thereof, a reinforcing member is positioned at a periphery of an opening formed in a side. CONSTITUTION:A printer arm 2 for a dot matrix type printer holds a printer wire 3 at right angles in a manner that a circular part 2a brings the wire 3 round, and openings 4 are formed in a side member 2b to lighten the printer arm 2. In the opening 4, a protruding member 5 is integrally formed so that it projects inwards or outwards. This causes reduction of a stress to the opening 4 produced through vibration of the printer arm at a printing time, and permits the arm 2 to be cracked from the opening 4. |
