PURPOSE:To eliminate the unbalance of cooling a rotary electric machine by forming an axial vent hole at the yoke of a rotor, mounting a positive fan at an inlet, and opening an outlet between poles, thereby supplying cooling air between the poles and enhancing the cooling effect. CONSTITUTION:In a rotor having a plurality of poles on the outer periphery of a yoke 2, an axial vent hole 12 is opened at the yoke between the poles. A positive fan 13 for flowing cooling air is mounted at the inlet of the vent hole at the end face of the yoke, a plurality of branch vent holes 12a are formed radially from the hole 12, are opened between the poles, and cooling air 11 is supplied between the holes. In this manner, the central part of the pole can be preferably cooled, and the unbalance between the center and the end in cooling can be eliminated. |
