MANUFACTURING METHOD OF HIGH FOAMABLE POLYOLEFIN INSULATING-WIRE

摘要

The cable insulated by highly foamed polyolefin exhibited excellent properties of electricity and mechanical strength. The core wires with diam. 2.3mm were coated ca. 0.1 mm thickness by low density polyethylene and insulated by an extrusion technique in which high foamable polyethylene in combination with a conventional blowing agent, i.e. tetrafluorodichloroethine was used. The extruded cable was foamed through a sizing die with inner diam. 10 mm and length 300 mm in which the temp. of die was maintained at 20≦̸C.
