PURPOSE:To increase an inside volume for glove box of a car at the time of molding it integrally with the instrument panel by making the glove box partially with small wall thickness at hinge part and by deforming it after molding with the hinge part as fulcrum. CONSTITUTION:A glove box 2 equipped with a lid 3 and a pad 4 is furnished integrally with part of the instrument panel 1. This box 2 is composed of a bottom plate 5, a back wall plate 6 and ceiling plate 7. Part of the wall plate 6 and the boundary zone between this wall plate 6 and the ceiling plate 7 are made thinner than other parts to form hinge parts 8, 9, and these are molded integrally with the abovementioned panel 1 in crashed state. After molding, the wall plate 6 and ceiling plate 7 are raised in the direction of arrow and deformed with the hinge parts 8, 9 as centrum, and then the fore edge of the ceiling plate 7 is laid over the bottom edge of the panel 1. Accordingly, an equal capacity can be secured to that which is given conventionally by forming panel 1 and box 2 separately. |
