PURPOSE:To improve the operability of a clasp rod by employing a construction of a two operation type steering lock such that a clasp rod coupled to a gap section of a cam provided on a rotor of a key cylinder is guided upward and obliquely to the direction of key insertion. CONSTITUTION:A steering lock 1 containing a key cylinder 3 in a cylindrical frame 2 is constructed so that an action lever 8 and a steering shaft 10 are engaged or released by rotation of a cam 7 on a rotor 4 in the key cylinder 3. A fan-like gap section 14 is formed on the side of the cam 7, and a coupling section 18 at the tip of a clasp rod 16 is positioned in the gap section 14. The clasp rod 16 is stretched outward through a guide passage 19 which is formed upward and obliquely to the direction of key insertion. The clasp rod 16 is constituted so that the coupling section 18 is dropped into the gap section 14 by a spring 17 and the coupling between the coupling section 18 and the gap section 14 is released by pushing a knob 23. |
