PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption in a light source, by stopping an operation of the light source of a detecting circuit for a constant interval of time, after detecting the pulse, in a wrist watch provided with a pulsimeter, having a photoelectric pulse detecting circuit. CONSTITUTION:A detecting circuit 7 generats a light from a light source of an LED, etc. to the skin surface where a blood vessel is positioned, receives a variation of a reflected ray varied in accordance with the pulse, by a photodetector, and outputs it as an electric signal. As for a pulse signal outputted as an electric signal from the detecting circuit 7, its noise component is removed by a filtering circuit 8, said signal is amplified 9, and after that, becomes a square wave signal PB. A timing circuit 6 stops the light generating operation of the light source of the detecting circuit 7 by resetting the timing circuit 6 by a fall timing of the square wave signal PB from a waveform shaping circuit 10. Immediately after this resetting operation, the timing circuit 6 starts to count time, and after a constant interval of time has passed, the light generating operation of the light source of the detecting circuit 7 is executed once again. |
