PURPOSE:To prevent the information-formed layers of a sandwich type information storage medium which has a hollow part internally from deteriorating by providing intermediate protective layers betwen the information-formed layers and substrates, and also providing surface protective layers on the hollow part sides of the informationf-formed layers. CONSTITUTION:Between information-formed layers 3 and substrates 1, intermediate protective layers 4 are formed, respectively, and on the information-formed layers 3, surface protective layers 5 of lamination structure having >=2 layers consisting an inorganic film layer 5a and an organic film layer 5b are formed. As inorganic materials forming the intermediate protective layers 4, oxide of Zn, Al, Si, or In and fluoride of Mg or Ca are suitable, and the inorganic material layers 5a of the surface protective layers 5 use the same materials. The orgnaic film layers 5b formed on them use polystyrene resin, acryl, polyvinyl chloride, polyvinylidene chloride, etc. |
