<p>PURPOSE:To attain the quick retrieving of words, by performing the searching in order of the dictionary regardless of the words of the internal and external memories and even in case when the number of words is increased with addition of an extended memory. CONSTITUTION:The contents of dictionary memories 18a and 18b are successively read and displayed at a display part 24. In this case, the translation mode is designated by a mode switch on a keyboard 11 and the search key operation singal is supplied to a control part 17 with operation of a search key. As a result, a device code designating the memory 18a is fed to an external control circuit 13 to be loaded there. When an external device data read instruction is given from a CPU12, the line ''AI'' of the storage data for example in the memory 18a is read out by an address designation. When the reading is over, a device code designating the memory 18b is delivered from the control circuit 17. Then the line of ''AI'' is read out of the memory 18b.</p> |
