<p>PURPOSE:To keep a pad stationary regardless of rotations of a wheel by engaging an annular whirl-stop member of a wheel pad to an annular member on the car body side with a press spring member and also providing a release member for allowing the steering wheel to pass. CONSTITUTION:An annular whirl-stop member 11 is arranged at the rear of a wheel pad 6 inside a steering wheel 3. A corrugated surface 12 formed around said member 11 is engaged to a carrugation 18 of a flange 17 formed at the end of a fixed cylinder 16 on the car body side which support a main shaft 5, and said pad 6 is whirl-stopped while being pressed by a number of U-shaped plate springs 21 provided in a circle with the ends fixed to a rear wall 8 of the pad 6. A roller 22 acting as a release member is supported in a hole provided in the axial direction of a spoke 2 so that the spoke 2 of the wheel 3 can pass without difficulty between the annular plate 11 and the fixed flange 17, thus a gap 23 is formed to allow the spoke 2 to pass. Thereby, the operability of various switches 7 on the pad 6 can be improved.</p> |
