PURPOSE:To facilitate the assembly of a laser tube by a method wherein a cylindrical metal body is joined to one end of a case consisting of a glass tube and an iron-cobalt alloy bulkhead body is welded to the cylindrical metal body and a capillary tube growing a discharge path exciting laser light is inserted in the glass tube by penetrating the capillary tube through the central section of the bulkhead body. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical metal body 17 connecting an Al cold cathode 8 located at the internal circumference wall of a case 1 through a lead wire 18 is joined to the other end of the glass case 1 having a vacuum exhaust hole 14 by junction section 19 between the glass and metal. Next, an alloy bulkhead body 15 perforated in disk shape and bent the circumference in L-shape and having coefficient which is equal to the coefficient of thermal expansion of glass is fixed to the internal surface of the metal body 17 by argon arc welding and a capillary tube 2 having reflectors 4 and 5 at the opposite ends is inserted through an opening provided at the central section of the alloy bulkhead body 15 and the junction section 16 of the capillary tube 2 and the bulkhead body 15 is sealed by using low melting point soldering glass, ceramic adhesives. In this way, a laser tube is assembled without using glass fusion means by a frame. |
