PURPOSE:To enable the connection between an internal and an external circuit element to be carried out easily, without causing any breakdown of the sealing, by installing a pop-through which consists of a hole provided in an envelope, a member sealing the said hole, and a conductive member fixed on the inner and the outer walls of the envelope and on the inner wall of the said hole. CONSTITUTION:A pop-through 8 consists of a hole 25 provided in a cathode-ray tube CRT, a conductive layer of a conductive silver paste or the like which is provided on the inner wall of the hole 25 and around the hole 25, on the inner and the outer walls of an envelope 24 covering the CRT, and a plug 27 fitted in the hole 25. A circuit element (A) provided inside the CRT is connected to an external circuit (B) by means of two flexible elastic metal fingers 28 and 29. Consquently, the use of the pop-through 8 instead of a neck pin enables the connection between the internal and the external circuits (A) and (B) to be carried out quite easily without any fear of breaking the sealing of the CRT. |
