PURPOSE:To eliminate the charging function to enhance sufficiently the efficiency of transfer to an ordinary paper, by interposing a thin layer material superior in insulation performance between a corona discharger for transfer and a transfer paper to intercept charging to a toner image through the transfer paper. CONSTITUTION:This transfer device consists of an endless belt 71 including a dielectric layer having a high insulation resistance, guide rolls 7A, 7B, and 7C which turn the belt 71 in the same speed as a drum 1 while bringing a part of the belt into contact with the drum 1 softly, and a corona discharger 70. The endless belt has a dielectric layer 71D consisting of a synthetic resin in the outside and has a reinforcing layer 71B consisting of paper, fibers, or glass cloth in the inside. Thus, charging to a toner image 3A through a transfer paper which is problem in the conventional transfer method is prevented because of interposition of the dielectric layer 71D having a high insulation resistance between a corona discharger for transfer and the toner image, and the efficiency of transfer to an ordinary paper is enhanced. |
