PURPOSE:To obtain the titled compound useful as a photographic coupler, etc., in high yield, by reacting a 4-amino-1,2,4-triazoline-5-thione compound with a specific ketoester derivative. CONSTITUTION:A compound shown by formula I (R1 is H, alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, etc.; a is protonic acid; n is O or integer) is reacted with a ketoester derivative shown by formula II (R2 and R3 are alkyl, alkenyl, heterocyclic, etc.; X is halogen, alkylsulfonyloxy, etc.) optionally in the presence of an acid (e.g. hydrochloric acid, etc.) preferably at 40-150 deg.C to give the aimed compound shown by formula III (e.g. compound shown by formula IV) and compound shown by formula V (e.g. compound shown by formula IV). The compound shown by formula III is treated preferably at 40-200 deg.C and desulfurized so that the compound shown by formula V can be obtained. |
