PURPOSE:To position and fix a core in a short time and to improve environmental resistance by carrying out a heat treatment after arranging the core at the fixation part of a hold case formed by working a long-sized material provided with a metallic layer which is fused at low temperature. CONSTITUTION:On the fixation part 10a of a hold case 10 formed by working a long-sized material 4 of nonmagnetic metal provided with a low-temperature fused metallic layer 7 on the surface, a core 2 and a shielding plate 3 are set at prescribed positions by using a jig. Then while the core 2 and shielding plate 3 are applied with pressure by the jig, the hold case 10 is heated from the outside to fuse the metallic layer 7, which is cooled to stick the core 2 and shielding plate 3 to the hold case 10. Then, two hold cases 10 wherein the cores 2 and shielding plates 3 are incorporated are butted mutually on their butt surfaces 2a and 3a and 10b to form a hold case, which is inserted into another shield case, thus manufacturing a magnetic head. |
