PURPOSE:To form a brush with a magntic toner to remove foreign matters effectively by the polishing effect, by constituting a gathering roll with a nonmagnetic material sleeve having a swelling part and a rotary magnet roll covered with this sleeve. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning device consists of a cleaning blade 2, a rotating magnetic roll 11 which is placed in the upper stream side of this blade 2 and has poles arranged properly, a toner gathering roll 13 consisting of a nonmagnetic material sleeve 12 which has a swelling part partially in the side facing to a drum 1 and is not rotated, and a carrying screw 15. A magnetic toner removed from the surface of the drum by the blade 2 is acquired on the surface of the sleeve 12, and a toner brush 14 is formed by a scraper 3' to remove effectively foreign matters by the polishing effect. An extra toner scraped by one scraper is carried by the carrying screw 15 and is drawn back in the outside of the machine. |
