PURPOSE:To simplify and quicken a concentrating process and to improve the accuracy of analysis and the lower limit value of detection, by using ammonium acetate filtered by a filter paper as a buffer solution, at the time of concentrating heavy metals in waste water by the filter paper. CONSTITUTION:Ammonium acetate which is most suitable for adsorption of heavy metals having no interference action, is used for a pH buffer solution necessary to adsorb the heavy metals to a chelate ion exchange filter paper and pH of said solution is regulated at about 7 that is a proper pH obtained by an experiment. The heavy metals contained in the ammonium acetate solution is separated by filtering by a filter paper shown as the table and ammonium acetate used at that time is refined easily. The accuracy of analysis and the lower limit value of detection, are improved by using said refined ammonium acetate and the automation for monitoring a heavy metal in the water quality inspection is realized easily. |
