<p>PURPOSE:To attain to equalize a gas stream passing through an absorbent layer by a method wherein the vicinity of the folded part of a folding-screen shaped absorbent layer arranged to a substantially vertical direction against a gas stream is removed in a tapered form toward a thickness direction and a guide blade and a partition plate are provided thereto. CONSTITUTION:The width of the side plate 102 of an absorbent layer 1b is made narrow and the part of the absorbent layer 1b contacted therewith is eliminated in a tapered shape to form an eliminated part 104 as well as an appropriate guide blade 105 is provided to the outer surface of the absorbent layer 1b and a partition plate 106 extending from said guide blade is provided to the inside of the absorbent layer 1b. A large amount of sucked air flows thereinto from a suction port 100 and a part thereof collides with the side plate 102 but, because the width of the side plate 102 is made narrow, most of air flows into the largely opened space between the absorbent layers 1b compared to a conventional apparatus and smoothly flows thereinto without generating eddy stream. Because fluid loss in a flow passage other than the absorbent layer itself is reduced, channeling of air is reduced and water making efficiency of the water making apparatus is enhanced.</p> |
