PURPOSE:To make always good arc starting possible irrespectively of output setting conditions by setting an changing the magnitude of the output voltage at the arc starting automatically to a specific value according to setting signals of the elements determining the welding current of a welding machine. CONSTITUTION:A consumable wire electrode 2 is connected to an output voltage generating circuit 1, and is fed by a feed motor 3. Prior to starting of welding, electric current, voltage and welding conditions are set in an electric current setting circuit 6, a voltage setting circuit and a welding condition signal circuit 13 respectively. Then, the output signal voltage retrieved or operated by a means 12 for storing the voltage at the arc starting is applied to a switching circuit 10 for the voltage setting signal from a circuit 11 for the voltage signal at the arc starting. At the starting of welding, the signal VH corresponding to the signal from the circuit 11 is outputted from the circuit 1 via an output controlling circuit 9. When an arc is generated, the welding current is detected, and the output of the circuit 10 is switched to the signal VH' corresponding to the output of the circuit 7 by the detection signal from an arc current detecting circuit 8. |
