PURPOSE:To cool a heated object slowly without changing the line speed of said object, and the temp. and flow rate of water by blowing the mist-like cooling water ejecting from nozzles to the object which is transferred continuously, and scattering the same by the wind directing opposite from the transfer direction. CONSTITUTION:Wind directing opposite from the transfer direction of a heated object S is introduced between nozzles 2 and the object S by a fan 5 provided on the side wall surface on the outlet 4 side of a cooling chamber 1. Then, the particularly fine particles in the mists ejecting from the nozzels 2 are scattered further by the wind of the fan 5 and drop onto the surface of the object S. Therefore, the object S is first slowly cooled with depriving of evaporation heat by the mist-like water particles stuck thereof, after which the rate of cooling is increased gradually by the cooling water of large particles that stick gradually thereon as it is transferred, whereby the object is cooled down to prescribed temp. Hence, the stable quality is assured for the heated object. |
