A drive rod (3) which passes through a longitudinal slot (2) in the frame (1) of a door, window or the like has one or more downwardly cranked portions (8) which are provided with lateral recesses in the vicinity of the ribs (6). In this way, the drive rod itself constitutes the retaining means, the drive rod being perfectly guided by the parts of the drive rod which are disposed underneath the ribs. <IMAGE>
