<p>The vibrating screen is driven by two independent drive shafts (1,2) driven by asynchronous motors. Each drive shaft has a pinion in mesh with a driven pinion (16,17). The two driven pinions are normally in mesh and synchronise the two drives. A spring loaded operating lever (21) disengages the pinion (16) and renders the drives independent. Two plungers (12,13) impart a braking force to the drive shafts. The screen can be placed into a 'no-flow' condition so that the material on the screen remains there and tends to clean the grid without stopping the drivers.</p> |
