PURPOSE:To shape a welded ridge through shaping in a short time, by inserting and holding a straight line part having the welded ridge of a ring body constituting a chain to a recess groove of a pair of blocks and shaping the welded ridge with a square blade in the recessed groove at the same time through parallel movement of both the blocks relatively. CONSTITUTION:One of a ring bodies 3 constituting a chain A is held on a specified work stand 1, a welded ridge 3b of the bodies 3 and a straight line 3a having the welded ridge are inserted and kept in a recessed groove 7 provided at a block body 5 joint planes through the joint of a pair of block bodies 5. Next, both the blocks 5 are relatively moved with butt state in parallel, and the welded ridge 3b is cut off with a square blade 8 formed in the recessed groove 7 along the surface of the straight line 3a. |
